Dear All,

An email was sent to the regional and national IGF mailing list,
inviting the IGF initiatives to discuss the format and the topics of
discussion for the inter-regional dialogue session.

You can send your suggestions to the mailing list at
http://mail.intgovforum.org/mailman/listinfo/igfregionals_intgovforum.org.
or you can send them to me directly, After receiving all the
suggestions by 6 October 2012 , the IGF Secretariat will compile the
suggestions and will send it to the mailing list.

Please see the email below

--------------

Dear Regional and National IGF Coordinators,

During the IGF 2012 meeting, a three hour session entitled ?The
inter-regional dialogue session? has been allocated to the national
and regional IGF initiatives.

The session will be held on 7 November 2012 from 14.30 to 18.00. It will
be broken into two segments and each segment will last for 90 minutes.
The session can be held in a round table format and all the initiatives
are invited to contribute to the discussions. We suggest that the session
revolve around the following topics:

1. The IGF initiatives can then move forward to discuss the emerging
issues that arose since the IGF 2011 annual meeting, and signal the issues
that were of concern to their region which may not have been discussed
during the IGF.

2. The second segment of the session can focus on sharing experience
on formulating regional and national IGF and the organizational principles
for holding their annual meetings. For some parts of the session, the IGF
initiatives can share their experience on how to ensure the multi-
stakeholder participation.

3. During the last part of the session, some discussions may take place
on drafting a guideline on how to formulate an IGF, with a view to reach
consensus on the formalities that IGF initiatives should consider when
formulating an IGF.

IGF initiatives are invited to comment on the aforementioned suggestions
about the format of the session and the topics of discussion by 6 October
2012. Please also note that the initiatives that wish to contribute to the
session and would like to be remained listed on the IGF website are
required to send the IGF Secretariat their substantive reports by 6
October 2012.

Best regards,
