[Rigf_announce] APrIGF 2016 Election - Candidates & Voting Announcement

Dear APrIGF Community,

This is to announce that the candidates for upcoming election of the Vice Chair (2016 - 2018) position of the Multi-Stakeholder Steering Group (MSG) of Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) has been confirmed.

A comment platform has also been created to provide opportunities for members to raise questions to better understand the candidates. You can do so by clicking “Ask Questions” button on the above Election Page.

An Interactive Q&A Session has been scheduled with the candidates on 3 Aug, 04:00 - 05:00 UTC during the bi-weekly MSG meeting. Everyone are welcome to attend via https://meet36877626.adobeconnect.com/aprigf_msg <https://meet36877626.adobeconnect.com/aprigf_msg>.

The Election Voting Period will begin on 8 Aug 2016 and end on 15 Aug 2016, 24:00 UTC.

Voting Rules and Procedure:
Each eligible voting member will have ONE vote for EACH position and there will not be any proxy votes.
Candidates are not allowed to vote for the respective position that they are running for.
Eligible voting members will receive individual voting credentials for the online voting platform via email from the secretariat before the voting period.
For any eligible voting members listed above but do not receive any login credentials until 7 Aug, please kindly contact the secretariat at sec at aprigf.asia <mailto:sec at aprigf.asia> as soon as possible.
The election result will be announced by the Election Committee within 48 hours after the voting period closing.
